That middle line, “That would be cheating yourself” is so thought-provoking. I wonder where pushing ourselves to give our all gives way to giving ourselves space to be imperfect. I struggle so much with that.
Pushing ourselves to give our all does not “give way” in any way… but it does give clarity and direction for us. It informs where we struggle and what is the point of “too much”. These are important places to recognize in one’s self for mental and physical health. Giving ourselves *space* is another important strategy in times of doubt, ..trouble, ..an overwhelming time.
