That picture is so powerful! Also I wouldn’t have know it was a pond covered in algae until you said in your poem 🙂 it does a good job of blending in to the wilderness around it.

I love that last line, with multiple possible meanings of “stocked”, and the hints of all the stories that are connected to the pond.
