Missing Smiles

I miss smiles from loved ones when it’s been so long.

I wonder what it would be like if you were still here.

I miss toothless smiles from students as they giggle and cheer.

I wonder what it will be like when we’re mask optional in late March.

I miss the smiles you took away from me.

I wonder if you ever feel sorry.

  1. This is such a powerful slice! I really love how you compared all the things you miss to the wonderings you have! The last line is one that I keep reading over and over. Thanks for sharing!
