I miss smiles from loved ones when it’s been so long.
I wonder what it would be like if you were still here.
I miss toothless smiles from students as they giggle and cheer.
I wonder what it will be like when we’re mask optional in late March.
I miss the smiles you took away from me.
I wonder if you ever feel sorry.

I like the repeating lines that alternate in your poem. I might give it a try for myself. Thank you for sharing.

This is such a powerful slice! I really love how you compared all the things you miss to the wonderings you have! The last line is one that I keep reading over and over. Thanks for sharing!

We just got through our first couple weeks of optional masks, and it is so cool seeing these kids faces. They don’t even look the same! Enjoy it!
