11:25: I’m fifteen minutes early- perfect
11:27: *goes through a maze of hallways to get to the vaccination site*
11:28: “If you follow me, I’ll take you to where you’ll get your vaccine.” *heart starts to race*
11:30: “Have a seat at Table D. She will take care of you.” *adrenaline starts running through my veins*
11:31: Question after question… let’s do this.
11:32: *alcohol swab gives me a chill as it touches my skin* “How’s the weather outside? It was freezing when I got here this morning.”
11:33: It’s actually not so bad, the sun is *injection* starting to come out and *ow* it’s warming up but there’s *OW* wind. Okay, this is extremely painful… OW.
11:34: 15 minute reaction waiting period commences *texts everyone I know that I’m vaccinated.*
11:40: My arm really hurts… wow. Better move it. I hope I don’t have any reactions.
11:48; *gets up to leave* “You good? Feeling okay?” Now I am.
Part of Slice of Life by Two Writing Teachers March Slice a Day Challenge! I’m slicing every day this month. Thanks for stopping by
Been there, and reading this I felt like I lived it again. Well-told! Good luck for the next couple days. I, like you, have heard every story on the spectrum about what can happen next. Hopefully whatever that is for you will be more than worth it for what all CAN happen next now that this part is over. Good slice

The format of times works really well for your small moment. I’ll bet many can relate to immediately texting everyone ! Love the ending “Now I am.”

Such a short time period for something so monumental! Way to document it for remembering later.
