Day 10 of the March Slice of Life Challenge hosted by the Two Writing Teachers! #SOL23
I see the moon
The moon sees me
I hope that moon don’t tell on me
A song my dad used to sing to my siblings and I when were were little
A song my dad now sings to my daughters
So simple, but so profound. What does the moon see that the person doesn’t want to be told on? Could this be about a safe place to tell and be vulnerable? I wonder about your daughter’s reactions…

I’m not really sure and I’m not really sure what my reaction was to that line as a child either. My own children have always found that line to be silly. But you ask a valid question, what does the moon see.

Those last two lines are so beautiful–the way you’ve structured them to be so similar is perfect.
