Rest to fight the virus raging within me.

Rest to strengthen my weak muscles.

Rest to close my endlessly tired eyes.

Rest to soothe my aching lungs.

Rest to catch my breath.

Rest to ease the nerves.

Rest to encourage B to do the same.

Rest to calm my racing mind.

Rest to muster up strength to write plans.

Rest to not feel so guilty missing another day.

Rest to appease others.

Rest because they’re right.

  1. They are totally right. And by they, I mean me. REST is very important. I know it’s hard to do – and I’m proud of you for doing it! I wish you felt better already though!


  2. It is so hard to miss another day but rest is what you need. Taking care of you is the best thing you can do for the little people at school. I hope you both start feeling better soon.


  3. You WILL feel better. It feels sometimes like your body is letting you down when you are sick. Have patience and breathe deeply! It is hard and sometimes BORING, but it is temporary!
