Today, I sat in a cafe with my husband
We drank our coffees slowly
And nibbled on scones
I may have also eaten a croissant
Today, I sat on a stylish chair in a new chic salon
And had the stylist make my hair four inches lighter
I may have even made an appointment for June
If you know me, I usually get my haircut once a year
Today, I sat on the couch in my living room
with my puppy snuggled on my lap
Enjoying the sunshine
Today I slowed down
