I’m Currently-
| Reading | “I Must Betray You” by Ruta Sepetys An amazing young adult novel to read in light of current events. I am adoring it! Highly recommend for any fan of historical fiction. |
| Writing | In the Slice of Life writing challenge I am hopeful that I will be able to accomplish a lot of growth in my writing. Writing is a pain point of mine to teach and do personally so this was a great push for me! |
| Trying to | Prioritize sleep Going to bed “early” and waking up on time (not hitting snooze) are constant challenges for me. I simply love the quiet of the night and the joyful peace that comes at the end of a long day. |
| Working on | Planning for a substitute I am taking a few personal days coming up so preparing for them has been a big item on my to do list. |
| Listening to | “Six the Musical” I love historical stories/plays/musicals. I was raised by a historian so something must have rubbed off on me. A friend recommended this soundtrack to me since I love the musical “Hamilton”. “Six” is kind of campy and very pop oriented but makes for great treadmill listening. |
Teachers Write 
I have used this form before! I Must Betray You is a book on my list! I can’t wait to read it. Participating in this challenge is one of the best things you can do for your teaching of writing. I promise you won’t regret it! And the rewards of writing go on and on…

I’ve listened to Six as well…it was enjoyable but didn’t “stick” with me like Hamilton. I can sing the entire Hamilton soundtrack. 😳

Love this!!!! I struggle with loving the calm of night also. When everyone else is asleep and no one needs me…those are some good hours. I am working on getting to bed before 11 these days
