Part of Slice of Life by Two Writing Teachers March Slice a Day Challenge! I’m slicing every day this month. Thanks for stopping by.
Oh Sunday, how I love you
I woke up to two kids playing
nicely
together
downstairs in the playroom
The clock beamed, 9:10 am
What? No, that cannot be right?
When was the last time I slept past 8?
I honestly cannot answer that question
Oh Sunday, how I love you
I made a second breakfast for the kids
And we sat together at the kitchen table
Talking and eating and relaxing in our pajamas
Oh Sunday, how I love you
I organized my dresser drawers
and my closet
and my shoes
I now have two big bags ready to be donated
Oh Sunday, how I love you
I planned and gathered materials for math this week
Responded to emails
And still my kids played
nicely
together
downstairs in the playroom
Oh Sunday, how I love you
ME TOO! This sounds like an especially lovely Sunday!

A sunny Sunday can do wonders for the soul! (and sleeping in for once can’t hurt either!!) Keep soaking it in!

Your Sunday sounds lovely. A sunny Sunday made it even better i’m sure. Love your repetition and the positive spin on Sunday. Sometimes Sundays bring dread.
