  1. So many great titles on your March madness card. I am reading Buckeye by Patrick Ryan (adult) and my YA read is Olivetti by Allie Millington (maybe more grade 4-6) which I just started and get wait to return to. Here’s to our reading lives!

  2. I just finished I, Medusa by Ayana Gray and I’m currently listening to After I Do by Taylor Jenkins Reid.

And I loved Clean Getaway – how did your class respond?

    1. Ouuu! I LOVE Taylor Jenkins Reid… After I do is on my want to read list! I will have to check out I, Medusa. What did you think of it?

The kids really enjoyed Clean Getaway. Many chose it as their favorite March Book Madness title. I appreciated how the author wove in so many complex themes to discuss (race, family, hard history) while also sprinkling in the right amount of humor. The theories kids were able to construct–and challenge and confirm along the way were awesome. I love books that pull in history and provide opportunities for kids to expand and grow their knowledge of the past and the world.

  3. I enjoyed For the Wolf and am also looking forward to The Night We Met by Abby Jimenez. I just finished reading Yoga Pant Nation which was funny and silly, and am currently reading All Quiet on the Western Front, which I have never actually read and am finding very intense, Hell Bent by Leigh Bardugo, The Mysterious Case of the Missing Mystery Writer by Ragnar Jonassón, and Lost Lambs by Madeline Cash. I like to have a lot of books on the go at once.
