Day 15 of the March Slice of Life Challenge hosted by the Two Writing Teachers! #SOL25
Our eight year old daughter has a heart of gold. She is our lover, our feeler, our sensitive soul. Unlike her sister and dad, she does NOT like to watch funny videos of people falling down and cannot understand why anyone finds these videos funny. She is witty and without even trying makes us laugh. She is our dancer and singer of random tunes. You can find her in the livingroom creating new dance routines. I wonder where she gets that from? Don’t worry though, she can also hold her own and can be a spitfire when she is angry.
As spring break comes to a close, I decided it was finally time to tackle the text dependent analysis essays I had brought home with me. E decided to join me at the kitchen table. She leaned in as I wrote feedback and praise on my student’s essays. When I was finished, she handed me my own checklist with a note at the bottom. Future teacher?

This is adorable! Future teacher, indeed! And her mama must be a good role model because she understands the power of positive feedback!
