I love memes, do you?

Day 11 of the March Slice of Life Challenge hosted by theTwo Writing Teachers! #SOL24

One of my favorite parts of teaching fifth graders (and even sixth graders) are their senses of humor and their sarcasm. Humor is good for the soul, right? They also appreciate a good meme.

Today was our first day back from spring break, so I thought I would begin our morning meeting with a check-in, “How are you feeling this morning?” The goal, if they chose to accept it, was to select a meme from the bottom of our morning letter that represented how they were feeling at that moment. More than half of the class selected, “That Monday morning glow.” LOL!

How were you feeling on this cold, windy Monday after springing ahead? I selected, “It’s Monday! Let’s rock and roll!”

I LOVE that you share memes with your Learners, too, and that they get them! When I share memes, it’s for me to get thru the day =P
