I really love beds that are made (not that I always make mine)
But finger prints, nose prints, and smudges on the window don’t bother me
I like having the couch pillows and blankets put back in their correct spots before leaving for school in the morning
But shoes can be scattered on the rug and I don’t care
I need bath towels to be folded a certain way and stacked neatly in the bathroom closet
But fitted sheets can be rumpled and shoved into a drawer
I like to fold my t-shirts to the right and put them away in neat stacks in my dresser
But if I’m matching clean socks and I come across a loaner, I shrug, throw it in my drawer, and hope it’s partner turns up. If it doesn’t, I don’t care
Is this a confession slice?
I’m participating in the daily March Slice of Life Challenge #SOL22 by Two Writing Teachers! Today is day 24!
You can call it a confession slice! I actually like the format, the contrasts that reveal your habits, likes, and dislikes! Cool idea!

Thank you! It was fun to write… and I realized my husband and I are opposites! LOL!

I can relate. The shoes can be anywhere but please fold the towels correctly.

For sure! There is just something about a neatly folded towel LOL! It may have something to do with my retail working days…

It’s fun to reflect on our idiosyncrasies. I enjoyed hearing yours and now I’m thinking about the quirks that are part of me. Good job!

Love these confessions! I’m especially happy to learn about the fitted sheets situation… I’ve given up trying to fold those. We always use to have shoes scattered, I couldn’t stand it… but when Finn was a puppy he loved to chew shoes, so that helped us get out of the habit… Although right now, I do see a bunch of shoes by the door…

Yes! I’ve tried… and I feel fine with shoving them into a drawer! LOL! I neatly fold the top sheet and pillow cases. I’ve made peace with not being able to fold the fitted sheets.

I love the contrasts between what is important to you and what’s not. I’m going to save this as a mentor slice to try. The juxtapositions are really a delight to read.
