Envy tells you a lie. It keeps you from wanting to try. It will tease you a little, play you keen like a fiddle, and will keep you down low, not up high.
Rivalry makes you cry. You’ll HATE, and you’ll never know why. It will come and will go and you’ll never quite know if it comes from your mind, ear or eye.
Jealousy creeps like a spy. And you’ll always feel something’s awry. It may make you green, ’cause of something obscene. Simple logic, it always defies.
Whether jealousy, envy or blot, Try to NOT get yourself in the pot. ‘Cause it comes between people, will rise high like a steeple, and without folks, you really have squat.

So much wisdom in your limericks. I love the imagery. Thanks for writing today!
