Wow – love the graphic writing – really well-done. You, and every other first year teacher out there, have my empathy and admiration. Congratulations – you have taken on teaching in the most challenging scenario ever. Thanks for the work you do for our youngsters – and thanks for returning every day. You are a rock star!

I love this! One year, my 5th graders read graphic memoirs and created their own. I love the graphic novel format and am so glad you shared this with us.

What an amazing start to your career. I give you so much praise for navigating your first job and the flexibility it has required to change back and forth. I’m sorry you haven’t had that easy time getting help from colleagues.
About the writing, I think you use this format really well. You pack in loads of info and details. I think of how fun it will be years later to look at this, especially the toilet paper with the red X. Keep writing/ drawing! I hope the challenge is helping you make sense of this novel time.
