Part of Slice of Life by Two Writing Teachers March Slice a Day Challenge! I’m slicing every day this month. Thanks for stopping by.
I think I can?
Running late?
No problem. Just don’t dry your hair.
You make a comment that makes your husband mad.
No problem. Just apologize and enjoy the sunshine through the window.
Your ID badge breaks off of your lanyard.
No problem. Grab some tape.
Your desk is messy–and there’s a used tissue.
No problem. Grab some wipes and get the spray.
Also, give yourself a pep talk.
The spare chromebook doesn’t work.
It’s okay. Take it back. Try again.
Give yourself another pep talk.
Your anxiety levels increase a smidge
as you are holding down the fort.
No problem. Take a deep breath and remind yourself it’s your Friday.
Give yourself a pep talk.
When the sun is shining through your window
And you hear kids laughing and playing on the playground
Smile, breath, and be thankful for sunshine and warmth.
You made it to the end of the week!!! Keep self-talkin, it works!

All those mini moments sure can add up, but you keep looking for the sunshine and it will find a way to shine! I can easily look the other way sometimes, so thanks for the reminder.
