Dear Sunshine,
Thank you for showing up today. I wasn’t so sure you were going to join us. It was pretty overcast and rainy when we left home. An hour into our drive, rain left and suddenly you appeared. The sky turned blue and the clouds became white and fluffy.
Thank you for showing up today, sunshine. The warmth of your rays felt so good on our faces and our arms and our legs, feeding our souls and lifting our moods.
On our drive home, we spotted low fast moving clouds ahead. It almost looked like the mountain range had expanded. As we got closer, the clouds swallowed our car whole and you disappeared from view. Although you did not follow us home, we were so thankful for your companionship today.
