Someone once said, “A good teacher is like a candle – it consumes itself to light the way for others.”
I think a good teacher is like chocolate.
Not because we are rich, or perhaps a little nutty, or perhaps a little crunchy.
I just can’t help but think – if I’m going to be a teacher that consumes herself to light the way for others…
I want to be chocolate.
Yes, please! I mean come on – it has to be chocolate! Did you ever see that picture of a candle burning at both ends and then also in the middle? It says “current situation” I think … and I. would much much rather be chocolate than that! Awesome slice!

I think I want to be chocolate so I can be savored! A candle? no way! Thanks for the laugh and thoughts in your post.

I’m all about chocolate. In fact, I haven’t had any today. So now I’m going to get up from my desk and go get some chocolate. Because who wouldn’t want to be chocolate?!?!?

maybe a flashlight? I sure don’t want to be that short lived non-renewable source. Maybe an oil lamp that needs to refuel and rest once in a while? I like thinking of this metaphor, and certainly won’t argue with anything chocolate 😉

Love this… I have to say I would be a nutty chocolate. I love the way you wrote this slice. It’s so simple and so powerful… but also witty and relatable!

You made me laugh and you made me think!
What is this about consuming oneself? No profession should ask that…
But yes, if so, chocolate is best.
