A slice of sunshine

The sunshine in central PA winters is so incredibly limited that any opportunity to soak it in is good for the soul. Despite today’s cold, I took in some opportunities to enjoy the sunshine.

We have welcomed back many in-person students over the last few weeks to the building. With more people accessing the vaccine, families are comfortable sending their kiddos back to us. Seeing them walk through the door is sunshine, and good for the soul.

As I completed a lap around the playground today, I thought about the challenges we’ll face with more students out at recess enjoying the sunshine. Keeping them masked in the warm weather and six feet apart will be a challenge. We are #CorlStreetStrong and we’ll figure out a way because the staff who support recess are another kind of sunshine and good for my soul.

  3. I so wish I had made myself go out in the sunshine more today – I took the dog out once .. but your slice is so true … we need to soak it up when we can!!!

I love how your lap around made you enjoy the sunshine AND start planning for the future challenges… our brains keep going and going … even when we are trying to get that “break.” 🙂

  5. Yes! Get all the sunshine you can. It’s an excellent choice (well, maybe with sunscreen come summer time). I’m excited for you that the kiddos are coming back to school. I’m sure that the recess challenges will be worth it – having the kids around makes it all that much better.
